Katie Owens, Director of Performance Improvement & Research, is an integral member of the Baptist Leadership Group and adds skills in data interpretation and integration of approaches to our list of capabilities. She assists clients in establishing measurement frameworks and tools to leverage greater results, as well as address opportunities for improvement. Specifically, she utilizes her experiences with customer loyalty and performance data coupled with analytics to enable our partners to achieve favorable results, and has had success impacting areas of patient loyalty, employee engagement, physician loyalty, strategic planning, and branding.
Prior to joining Baptist Leadership Group, Owens served as the director of Market Research for the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare system in Memphis, TN where she leveraged data and intelligence to support the organizations mission. At Methodist Le Bonheur, Owens successfully led HCAHPS implementation for five acute care hospitals. She worked for a leading childrens health care system facilitating change management, as well as in business operations at a for-profit hospital, and as a child life aid for a childrens hospital.
Owens has been an adjunct professor in Healthcare Administration at the University of North Florida. She is published in Health Education Research on the topic of consumer usage of the Internet to seek health information. Owens has presented at national conferences including the American College of Healthcare Executives as well as at Baptist Leadership Group events.
She holds a bachelors degree in Human Resources Development from the University of Florida and a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Florida.
